I obviously slacked big time on my last attempt to start this blog!! But here I go again. This time I'm going to be refocusing on making Girlie clothes for my little ones.... Sewing the same thing day in and day out for lpd really wiped my creativity and made it so I almost resented sewing.... So here I am, ready to spend some time making things and getting to enjoy the creations! It all started in 2008 when I gave birth to a little girl... I wanted to learn to sew, and sew I did. My mother (who is also my best friend) taught me with gentle patience, love, and guidance.... And here we are tody.LPD does a lot of embroidery projects.... So I've been wanting to get back to basic sewing for a while... And finally found some time to do it. I spent hours tonight looking for tutorials, I got a book today, and lots of adorable fabric, which I can't wait to turn into dresses, skirts, and shirts.... Oh the possibilities are endless!!
This week, I learned how to make aio cloth diapers. I love how adorable they are... But am struggling with the whole soaker pad.... So, I'm going to ask if anyone knows of a good brand soaker pad that will fit a standard aio cloth diaper? In the mean time, I will use these to cover up the good ole huggies :) and!! I had the idea to make some for my al,ost three year old, who is potty trained except at night... And I've been hesitant to make the leap... But think these will help! Cloth will feel like her undies and in case of accidents, there is the waterproof layer..... Anyone have any suggestions on how to make the leap? I'd love to hear it!!
